We ship tested setup guides for five clients: Claude (Desktop, Code, claude.ai), ChatGPT (Apps & Connectors), OpenCode, Cursor, and Codex CLI. Every flow is verified end-to-end. Other AI tools that speak the same open standard should work too, but we haven't shipped tested setup guides for them yet. If you try one and hit a snag, tell us. Do I need to install anything? No. Open your AI tool's integrations panel, paste the DocStash URL, and sign in. That's the whole setup. Nothing to install on your machine, no API keys to manage, no engineer needed. What file formats can I upload? Your AI can create: HTML, Markdown, code, Word, Excel, PDF, and live apps (React, Vue, Svelte, Three.js and more). You can also drag and drop everything except live apps into the web app. Versioning, sharing, and access control work the same way across all of them. Who can see my documents? Private by default. Personal-org documents are visible only to you. Team-org documents are visible to every member of the org. Public sharing is a deliberate toggle you flip per document, and you can flip it back off any time. Cross-org grants let you give read access to a specific user outside your org without making the doc public. Does DocStash read my documents to train AI? No. On the Free and Pro tiers your documents sit on infrastructure we operate, so as the platform operator we can technically access content. Our policy is strict. We don't train models on it, index it for search, share it across customers, or analyze it for any purpose. On the Enterprise tier you bring your own S3 storage and your own IdP. File bytes physically live in your cloud and we hold a revocable IAM key, not custodianship. For enterprise, what stays on your servers vs ours? Document bytes live in your S3 bucket. Authentication happens at your IdP. We hold the IAM credential to mint signed URLs for your employees, and the metadata (document names, owners, timestamps, version history) lives in our managed Postgres, encrypted at rest. You can revoke our IAM key any time. How do I get Pro or Enterprise? Just sign up, it's self-serve. Every organization starts on Free, and you can upgrade to Pro yourself anytime from Settings → Billing. Pro is free during the pilot while we shape the product (it will eventually be paid). Enterprise is currently a Design Partner Program. BYO S3 storage and enterprise OIDC SSO are live and in production today, and design partners get the full feature set free in exchange for direct feedback and a reference quote later. Enterprise customers bring their own S3 storage and IdP, which gives them the data-residency story without the operational burden of running infra themselves.
