Generative artificial intelligence video and image creation platform for professionals Higgsfield Inc. today announced that it raised $400 million in early-stage funding, quadrupling the company’s valuation to $5.4 billion since its previous funding round in January. The Series B round was led by DST Global, with participation from Tribe Capital, Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Smash Capital, Fifth Wall, Valor Capital, Intel Capital and over half a dozen existing investors. Higgsfield is best known for what the company calls a visual reasoning engine for generating and editing media – especially cinematic video, images and voice/audio – using text prompts or references. The company helps professionals with AI tools that deliver visual effects and AI motion, character and scene consistency, and packages that offer what it calls best-in-industry tools on a dedicated cloud platform. “Every business needs visual content, but creating it at the quality, speed and scale companies demand remains complex and expensive,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Alex Mashrabov. “AI is fundamentally changing that. The next wave of value will be created by the applications that put this technology to work.” Under the hood, Higgsfield aggregates AI models including its own proprietary video, image and audio models such as Soul 2.0, its proprietary photorealistic model focused on fashion/editorial imagery and persistent characters, and leading AI models such as Veo 3.1, a powerful video generation model from Google LLC. The company said it serves more than 30 million users globally across 238 countries and territories, with the United States representing its largest market. AI agents are one of the company’s largest market drivers, with autonomous capabilities a major force behind adoption of the platform’s products and tools among new customers. Higgsfield recently launched Supercomputer in May, an agentic AI product that automates workflows, runs agents and skills. The company said that after the launch, agentic tool use on the platform increased by 42-fold in just three months, leading to more than 20 million content generations per month. Customers of Higgsfield include 360 of the Fortune 500 list and the company said its enterprise customer base spans advertising and marketing, media and entertainment, broadcasting, fashion, retail, consumer, technology, finance and pharmaceuticals.
