Today, we’re opening an office in Madrid and expanding our operations in Spain, including building out our local sales and engineering teams so we can partner even more closely with our customers on their most acute challenges.

We’ve been working with Spanish companies for some time, and across every major industry, enterprises tell us the same thing: they want to deploy AI across customer experience, operations and sales, but it needs to communicate naturally and reliably at scale.

eDreams ODIGEO (eDO), one of Europe's largest travel subscription platforms, is showing what this looks like in practice. Using ElevenAgents, they handle customer support in five languages across millions of interactions. They've moved from rigid phone trees to AI agents that converse naturally, resolve queries autonomously, and hand off to human experts with all the right context if needed. As a result, eDO has seen double-digit improvements in resolution speed and transfer rates.

In the retail sector, MediaMarkt uses ElevenAgents to handle warranty extensions, insurance activations, and subscription upsells online, on the phone, on WhatsApp and on social media. And we partner with Santa Lucia Seguros, one of the largest insurance companies in Spain, to bring voice to their virtual assistant.

We’re also proud that Santander, one of Spain's most iconic institutions and one of the world's largest banks, is a recent investor in ElevenLabs – a signal of the opportunity that major financial institutions see in AI audio and agents.

Beyond enterprises serving their customers, we are also helping creatives and brands reach new audiences across the Spanish-speaking world. Matthew McConaughey uses ElevenLabs to narrate his newsletter in Spanish in his own voice, which enables him to expand his audience while preserving his iconic delivery.

We think Spain is one of the most interesting markets in the world for voice AI. Spanish is the world's second most-spoken native language, with 520 million speakers, and many variations across the world. But Spain itself is linguistically plural in a way that most AI companies don't account for. Castilian is one of four co-official languages – alongside Catalan, Galician and Basque – and millions of people rightly expect to be served in the language they speak. Offering regional languages with the correct pronunciation and intonation is crucial for Spanish businesses that want to deploy AI. As an AI company that builds its own models, we can solve for the language needs of Spanish businesses at the model level, rather than patching over a generic platform.
