Processing is something we all have access to, thanks to years of evolution. It weighs roughly 1.3 kilos (3lbs) and sits in our heads. Knowledge comes from education, and it unfortunately has been one of the biggest drivers of the wealth gap throughout history. Things are changing. With the internet, knowledge became ubiquitous. You can learn the type of instrument Einstein played in milliseconds. Thousands of videos online teach quantum mechanics. With large language models, knowledge became learnable, efficiently. Formulate a question, and get it spoonfed to you with tokens, in your language of choice. With AI agents, knowledge became actionable. You have a basketball game idea? Have your AI code it for you, build the pitch deck, and search online on how to distribute your game. Let's go back to my first sentence. A word there requires some attention. “Commodity.” Yes indeed, intelligence is a commodity. But it should not be “commoditized.” Zeno is an attempt to enhance human creation. Humans were endowed with intelligence through millions of years of trial and error, but now we have created systems that can give our brains external knowledge storage, and an external processor. And you don't need thousands of GPUs running on processor farms that require a ton of energy and a ton of water. Zeno runs on your laptop. And it's completely private. It's not that we don't look at your data. We physically can't. Turn off the wifi and use it, if you'd like. And it's personal. It's your AI. It complements your brain. Similar to how your neurons change as you learn, the model learns from you. Model weights change as you use it more. We are still early. We fit a 35B parameter model on a regular MacBook, so Zeno might feel slow at first. But we will learn from you as you give feedback, and your AI model will learn from you.
