Bending Spoons has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Airtable, an online platform that enables users to organise data, manage projects and create customised workflows without the need for programming. The transaction is an all-cash deal and values the online platform at an enterprise value of $1.285 billion. The company announced this in a statement, in which it emphasised that this figure, together with Airtable’s current net balance of cash and cash equivalents, implies an equity value of approximately $2.25 billion. “Airtable is a pioneering brand that is transforming the way teams organise data and manage core business processes. This is evidenced by annual recurring revenue that has grown by over 20 per cent to reach approximately $480 million by June 2026, and the merger with Bending Spoons will give a further boost to innovation,” said Luca Ferrari, CEO and co-founder of Bending Spoons, in a statement. “The partnership with Bending Spoons provides us with the resources and long-term commitment to pursue our vision with even greater ambition, as we build the AI-native platform of the future,” added Howie Liu, co-founder and CEO of Airtable. The deal, which is expected to be finalised by the end of the year, will mark Bending Spoons’ first acquisition since its listing on the Nasdaq. Advisers to the transaction: Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, EY Advisory, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE, Italia Branch, J.P. Morgan, Latham & Watkins LLP and Axom Partners LLC.
